Berkeley China Public Health Summer Seminar

This course will feature a series of faculty speakers from the UC Berkeley School of Public Health (SPH) and senior administrators from the Berkeley campus.  It will provide an introduction to public health as well as an introduction to American culture, especially regarding graduate study in the USA. The course will cover public health topics such as: global health, health policy, epidemiology, and infectious diseases. Students will be encouraged to interact with the speakers and engage in active discussions.  Each of the three weeks will consist of lectures on the Berkeley campus as well as a field visit off-campus in the Bay Area.  Students will also explore the range of public health activities on the Berkeley campus.  The students will receive a certificate of participation at the conclusion of the course.
